Our commitment
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing effort as we add and update content.
MILA Face is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards to the milaface.com website and related pages served by our custom WordPress theme.
Conformance status
We consider WCAG 2.1 Level AA the standard for this site. Conformance is an ongoing goal rather than a one-time certification. Some content or third-party features may not yet fully meet every criterion. When we identify barriers, we work to remediate them in the website design, in our content, or with vendors as appropriate.
Measures we take
- Semantic HTML, landmarks, and skip navigation in our site theme
- Keyboard-operable navigation, forms, galleries, and accordions where we control the implementation
- Alternative text for meaningful images in theme-managed templates
- Visible focus indicators and support for reduced motion preferences
- Periodic automated and manual accessibility reviews as we launch new pages and features
- Editor guidance for accessible content in WordPress
Technical specifications
Accessibility of milaface.com relies on the following technologies:
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript (progressive enhancement; core content remains available when scripting is limited)
These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used on the site.
Assessment approach
We evaluate accessibility through a combination of internal review, automated testing tools (such as axe and Lighthouse), keyboard-only navigation, and targeted screen reader checks on representative pages. External audits may be performed for major releases.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some areas may still present barriers:
- Third-party embeds or widgets (for example scheduling or social platforms) are governed by those providers’ accessibility
- Older or archived PDF documents may not be fully tagged for screen readers
- User-generated or frequently updated CMS content depends on authors following our accessibility guidelines
We welcome reports of specific issues so we can prioritize improvements.
