BIOGRAPHY
The Surgeon Behind the Technology
Dr. Theodorou completed his plastic surgery residency at Rush University in Chicago, then an Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital – NYU Medical Center. He began his career focused on a question most surgeons weren't asking: what happens when you apply laser and radiofrequency energy not as a supplement to surgery, but as the core instrument?
In 2015, InMode Ltd. — the medical device company that develops FaceTite, BodyTite, and Morpheus8 — brought him in as Chief Medical Officer. He held that role for nine years, overseeing the company's clinical development across its product portfolio — the studies, the training protocols, and the physician-education programs behind the technology surgeons use today.
He directed the research that led to FDA clearance of BodyTite and FaceTite. Much of the clinical data surgeons rely on to justify using these devices comes from research he directed.
His most significant contribution was co-developing EmbraceRF — the first procedure to combine FaceTite radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis with Morpheus8 subdermal adipose remodeling. He publicly introduced it at the 2018 Vegas Cosmetic Surgery Symposium. It has since been adopted by plastic surgeons worldwide. The playbook they follow is the one he wrote.
MILA is the application of that knowledge to the MILA procedure — the same principle of laser and RF energy as the core instrument, not a supplement, and the same goal: structural correction with less trauma, faster recovery, and results that continue to build.

Dr. Theodorou practices structural correction over surface manipulation. Results look natural because they address the underlying architectural changes aging produces. Tissue descent, volume redistribution, structural softening. Not masking those changes at the skin surface.
He believes in transparent communication. Every patient receives a direct, honest assessment of what they can expect. Including what surgery cannot achieve, what recovery requires, and what the realistic long-term picture looks like. He does not book procedures for patients who are not well-served by them.
